This summer has been so great so far! I'm working for a local organization which helps adults who are deaf/hard-of-hearing maintain independence in the community. It is a super challenging job, but I'm absolutely loving using my sign language. I'm still taking classes to help me with my grammar, and I'm hoping that by the end of the summer I'll be a pro!
I just watched Freedom Writers and I have never been more ready to be a teacher. I am such a suck for these types of movies, I want to believe in my students the way Erin Gruwell believed in hers. I want to dream ways that will help them succeed and do whatever it takes to help them get there!
I'm also in the middle of picking courses for teacher's college in the fall and I absolutely can't wait. I've been reading classroom management books, and working on my portfolio. I get excited when I show people the lesson plans that I've done, and the units I've created.
I'm graduating on Wednesday and I will be that much closer to next year... closer to being a teacher, closer to a whole new chapter in my life!
I just can't wait!! <3

- My name is Heather, I am 21 years old and I was BORN to be a wife, a mother and a teacher. Although I have no prospects of becoming a wife or a mother any time soon, in September I will be attending teacher's college in Ontario. I am, more than ever, so excited about this!! I made this blog so I could keep track of my memories in the classroom. I want a place where I can document the adorable things that my children do or say, because I know there will be lots. And I know there will be lots of times that they aren't adorable, but I'm hoping that I can have this as a place to keep my happy memories alive :)
