Easy Earring Organizer - WFMW (II)

I posted this last week as my first one, but since it's a "Greatest Hits" edition and this is the only one I have, here you go again!!

I don't know if you're anything like me, but I have a really hard time keeping my earrings together and organized. I wear mostly dangly ones, so I struggle with keeping them separated so they don't get tangled. A friend of mine made something similar to this and I just had to try it out.

And it's so easy!! All you need is:

- a picture frame (even nice ones are only $1 at Dollarama)
- a few pieces of string or ribbon (any kind will do, you can easily use scraps)
- 1 piece of patterned / coloured paper (I used cardstock because it's sturdier)
- tape / glue gun
- that's it!!

All I did was position the string on the paper where I wanted it (measure the length of a few of your favourite earrings first!), glued it on the edges, and voila! You can choose the number of rows, and the lengths too, custom to whatever you need! I also added a border so it hid the ends of the string, but I suppose you could probably secure it on the back of the picture frame to hold it in place.

The best thing that I love about this little creation is that it takes up almost no space on my dresser and I can see all of my options at the same time. When I go away for a weekend, I just grab my favourite few pairs and throw them in a film canister or other container, and they're a lot less likely to get mixed up that way!

So there you have it! Easy earring stand that's pleasing to the eye, helps me find my earrings faster, and it cost me less than $2! It works for me! Check out more tips on Shannon's blog at:

This is a very clever idea! I love the fact that you don't have to hunt in your jewelery box for a matching pair! Thanks for sharing!
